Meet Cream Guitars: Handmade in Mexico, Built to Be Different
Most guitars on the wall are variations on the same few designs from the 1950s. Cream Guitars are not. Handmade in Mexico and priced from £1,887, they're built for players who want an instrument that looks and sounds like nobody else's, and they're now available in the UK through Pluck & Play.
The story: originality over imitation
Cream Guitars was founded by inventor and entrepreneur Luis Ortiz with one simple belief: musicians deserve more than copies. They deserve instruments that reflect their own identity.
The guitar industry leans heavily on nostalgia, with the same shapes, the same finishes and the same specs reissued decade after decade. Cream deliberately goes the other way. Every design starts from scratch, combining innovation and craftsmanship with the artistic and cultural spirit of Mexico, where every Cream guitar is handcrafted.
What makes a Cream different
They're built for versatility. Cream designs its guitars so you can get a wide range of tones across genres without swapping instruments mid-set. One Cream can cover ground that would normally take two or three guitars.
They're handmade. Each guitar is built by hand in Mexico, and the attention to detail shows from the headstock to the hardware.
They look like nothing else. Think sparkling glitter finishes, a 24K Goldtop, open-grain dark oak, candy reds and deep Caribbean blues, all on bold, original body shapes. A Cream on stage gets noticed before you've played a note.
The range: Revolver and Voltage
We stock two Cream series, each in a choice of eye-catching finishes. Prices may vary. Correct at the time of publishing.

Who is a Cream guitar for?
- Players who are tired of copies. If every guitar you pick up feels like a variation on the same thing, a Cream is a breath of fresh air.
- Gigging musicians who want to stand out. It's a guitar with real stage presence that also covers a wide range of tones.
- Collectors and enthusiasts. A handmade instrument with a story, a distinct identity and finishes you won't see at every open mic.
- Anyone treating themselves to "the one". If you've been saving for a special guitar, this is the kind of instrument that feels special every time you open the case.
Come and try one in person
Photos don't do these guitars justice. The glitter, the Goldtop and the grain on the oak really come alive in the flesh, and a guitar at this level deserves to be played before you buy.
Our Yorkshire showroom is open by appointment only, so you get unhurried, one-to-one time with the guitars. Get in touch to book a time, and we'll have your chosen Creams ready for you to plug in and play.
