D'Andrea
D'Andrea didn't just make guitar picks — they invented the plastic ones. Back in 1922, a New York vacuum cleaner salesman called Luigi D'Andrea picked up some offcut sheets of tortoiseshell-coloured plastic at a sidewalk sale. What his son Anthony noticed in the shapes he punched out became the modern guitar pick. Three generations and a century later, D'Andrea still makes picks players actually reach for — more gauges, shapes and materials than almost anyone else in the business, plus straps, pickguards and care products built with the same attention.
